The admission exercise covers both the Amachara and Aba campuses of the institution and is open to qualified candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Candidates Advised to Select College as First Choice

The management of the college has advised interested applicants to carry out a Change of Institution through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and select Abia State College of Nursing Sciences as their first-choice institution.

The move is a key requirement for candidates seeking admission into the ND Nursing Programme for the new academic session.

Admission Requirements

According to the institution, applicants must possess a minimum of five credit passes in either WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB examinations.

The required subjects include:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

The credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.

In addition, candidates must be at least sixteen years old by September 2026 to be eligible for admission.

Training Future Healthcare Professionals

The National Diploma Nursing Programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, practical skills, and professional competence required for a successful career in nursing and healthcare delivery.

The college continues to play a significant role in training qualified nursing professionals who contribute to the healthcare sector within Abia State and across Nigeria.

Warning Against Admission Fraud

The management also issued a strong warning to prospective applicants and parents to beware of fraudsters.

According to the notice, the college has not authorized any individual, group, or organization to act as an admission agent on its behalf.

Applicants have therefore been advised to conduct all admission-related enquiries through official channels and avoid making payments or commitments to unauthorized persons.

The institution stressed that anyone dealing with third parties outside the officially approved communication channels does so at their own risk.
