The Obingwa Local Government Authority has strongly refuted a malicious publication circulating on social media, which alleged that the Mayor of Obingwa LGA, Hon. Maxwell Nwadike, threatened to seize land belonging to one Mr. Edwin Ezema, claiming that “not even Governor Otti can stop me.”
In an official statement signed by Hon. Chibueze Otete Esq., Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, the Council described the report as false, misleading, and designed to incite public sentiment while discrediting the Mayor and politicizing a routine administrative matter.

The Mayor has never made such a reckless statement. Hon. Nwadike remains fully loyal to the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, and continues to serve with respect, diligence, and accountability. - Due Process on the Land Dispute
The land in question concerns historical ownership claims around Ehere Electronic Market by Opobo Junction, which is property of Obingwa LGA.
