Abia state governor, Dr. Alex Otti has attended the graduation ceremony of the second set of participants at the 2025 Abia Leadership Academy.

In his speech during the ceremony titled “Beacons of Light”, Governor Otti emphasized the importance of leadership in driving development and excellence, highlighting Abia State’s progress in infrastructure, security, and support for local businesses.
Governor Otti stressed that leadership is the foundation of every successful endeavor, and institutions, societies, and nations rise or fall based on the quality of leadership.
He noted that the academy is designed to be inclusive, with participants from diverse backgrounds, and that merit and competence are the primary criteria for selection.
The governor also announced the creation of a digital platform for alumni of the academy, which will serve as a contact point for information dissemination and support. He also directed that each graduate should mentor and support at least one person every month for the next 12 months.
The governor congratulated the graduates, expressing pride in their achievements and encouraging them to continue learning, sharing, and influencing others. He emphasized that the training and support provided by the academy are just the beginning, and that the graduates are expected to become beacons of moral and professional excellence in their communities.
Meanwhile, participants have arrived for cohort 3 of the leadership academy, which started on 28th August 2025.
