Iran’s Defence Minister, Aziz Nassirzadeh, has warned that the country is prepared to deploy more advanced missiles if Israel launches another attack. Nassirzadeh stated that the missiles used in the recent 12-day war were developed years ago, and Iran now possesses missiles with significantly greater capabilities. The warning comes amid heightened tensions between the two nations, with a ceasefire in place since June 24.
Iranian officials have emphasized their readiness for any potential confrontation, with First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref stating that the country should be prepared for confrontation at all times. The army is set to begin a two-day military exercise featuring short and medium-range cruise missiles.
Western governments have expressed concerns over Iran’s missile program, calling it a threat to regional security. However, Iran insists that its military capabilities are not up for negotiation.
