Kaspersky Brings African Partners Together on Cybersecurity Innovation

Kaspersky has brought together more than 100 partners from 22 countries across the Middle East, Turkiye and Africa to showcase cybersecurity innovation, discuss emerging threats and explore new opportunities for growth.

The partners gathered at the META Partner Conference 2026, held in Bali, Indonesia, in early September, where Kaspersky presented updates on its products, investment plans, changes in the threat landscape and success stories from across its partner ecosystem.

The conference brought together representatives from different markets at a time when organisations are facing increasingly complex cybersecurity challenges across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments.

Kaspersky also used the event to highlight its recently launched Partnerverse portal, an interactive platform designed to showcase the company’s global partner ecosystem and recognise the contribution of its partners.

The conference opened with a presentation by Kaspersky CEO Eugene Kaspersky, who discussed current developments in cybersecurity and the future direction of the industry.

Toufic Derbass, Managing Director for the Middle East, Turkiye and Africa (META) region at Kaspersky, also addressed participants on the growing demand for cybersecurity solutions across the region.

According to Derbass, Kaspersky recorded 21 per cent business growth in the META region during the first half of 2026, reflecting increasing demand for cybersecurity products and services.

The conference agenda featured updates to Kaspersky’s Enterprise Portfolio, including developments in the company’s artificial intelligence capabilities.

Participants also examined success stories, potential areas for business expansion and the challenges created by increasingly complex regional technology environments.

Other areas discussed included the management of cloud, on-premises and hybrid infrastructures, as well as opportunities involving Kaspersky XDR and container security.

The focus on different infrastructure environments reflects the changing technology landscape facing businesses and institutions, many of which now operate across multiple digital environments.

Kaspersky said its extensive partner network remains central to its ability to deliver cybersecurity services to customers around the world.

Over nearly three decades, the company has built a global network of more than 18,000 partners, which it says provides cyber protection to millions of customers worldwide.

The company’s Kaspersky United Partner Program is organised into four business model-focused streams: Sell, Deploy, Manage and Build.

The Sell stream is designed for resellers, system integrators and value-added resellers, while Deploy focuses on partners providing advanced cybersecurity services.

Manage is targeted at Managed Service Providers, while Build caters to technology partners.

Through the programme, Kaspersky works with organisations with different areas of expertise and business models, allowing partners to participate in its cybersecurity ecosystem according to their capabilities.

The company has also sought to make that ecosystem more visible through Partnerverse.

The new digital platform provides an interactive representation of Kaspersky’s global partner network, with individual “planets” representing partners within the Sell, Manage and Deploy categories.

The platform highlights partner achievements and provides users with a way to explore success stories and milestones from organisations working with Kaspersky.

According to the company, the platform is also intended to demonstrate how joint expertise between Kaspersky and its partners contributes to business growth.

The interactive design includes functional orbits around the individual partner planets. The number of rings indicates the number of Kaspersky programme categories in which a partner participates.

The platform also uses different colours to indicate a partner’s metal status within the programme.

Silver represents baseline competency, Gold indicates advanced expertise, while Platinum recognises partners with the highest levels of sales and certification volumes.

Kaspersky said Partnerverse also includes a Partner Locator, which allows users to search for partners using multiple criteria.

The platform provides prospective partners with a direct route to learn more about working with Kaspersky through its “Become a Partner” option, which connects users to the United Partner Portal.

Speaking about the company’s relationship with its partner ecosystem, Derbass described partners as more than business collaborators, emphasising their role as advocates for Kaspersky’s values, expertise and cybersecurity commitments.

He expressed appreciation for their contribution to delivering cybersecurity services to customers across different markets and business segments.

Derbass also encouraged prospective partners to explore opportunities to work with Kaspersky, positioning collaboration as an avenue for mutual growth and stronger cybersecurity capabilities.

The conference comes as businesses and institutions across Africa and other emerging markets continue to face a growing range of digital security challenges.

As organisations expand their use of cloud services, hybrid infrastructure and other digital technologies, cybersecurity providers and their partners are increasingly required to offer solutions capable of protecting different technology environments.

The discussions around artificial intelligence, extended detection and response, container security and hybrid infrastructure at the conference reflect some of the areas shaping the cybersecurity market.

For African markets in particular, partnerships between global cybersecurity companies and local technology providers can play an important role in expanding access to security expertise and solutions.

Kaspersky’s gathering of partners from 22 countries also highlights the increasingly regional nature of cybersecurity challenges, as threats can affect organisations across borders and require coordinated responses.

The company said its Partnerverse initiative would provide greater visibility into the scale of its ecosystem while creating opportunities for existing and prospective partners to engage with its programmes.

With more than 18,000 partners globally, Kaspersky is positioning its partner network as a key component of its strategy for delivering cybersecurity capabilities to customers.

The META Partner Conference 2026 therefore served as both a platform for sharing product and threat intelligence updates and an opportunity to strengthen relationships within Kaspersky’s wider business ecosystem.

As the cybersecurity environment continues to evolve, the company and its partners are expected to place increasing emphasis on emerging technologies, specialised expertise and collaboration to address new and changing digital threats.
